Kubo and the Two Strings is a stop-motion fantasy film about a young storyteller who sets out on a journey to uncover his family’s past.

I designed a teaser and theatrical key art series for the film. The teaser introduces the story through Kubo’s shamisen and the red thread, while the theatrical artwork expands into its characters and world. Together, both pieces share a cohesive visual language while serving distinct moments in the campaign.
